Burning Tips & Safety

Burning tips

Keep wick trimmed to 5mm, if the wick is too long the candle will smoke. If smoking does occur, extinguish the candle, trim the wick and re-light.

Try and keep your candles out of a draught. If the flame is flickering there is a draught and your candle will burn unevenly.

Each time you light a soy container candle, in order to maintain even melting and prevent tunnelling of the wax, allow the candle to burn until the wax has melted to the edge of the container.  Due to the organic nature of the materials used in our products, the length of time can vary for the wax to completely melt from the sides of the container.

All our container candles are frequently tested to ensure our high standards are maintained.

The best way to extinguish a container candle is to dip the wick into the wax pool with a wick dipper or other non-flammable object, then straightening it to allow the wick to cool. The wick will then be primed for next time.

Each of our candles is individually poured with soy wax and a blend of oils. As soy wax is a natural product it occasionally pulls away from the glass, this will not affect the fragrance throw or burning time.

Safety

Never leave a burning candle near flammable materials.

Always ensure candles are burnt in suitable containers on a heat resistant surface.

Do not move a candle whilst wax is molten.

Remove any debris from the wax pool after extinguishing your candle.

For safety always use a long handled candle snuffer to extinguish your candle.

Extinguish container candles when only 1/4" of wax remains.

Keep candles away from children and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended.
